The Frank X. Gordon Jr. Award
The Frank X. Gordon Jr. Award is given for outstanding achievement in the area of the practice of law. The Board of Directors of the Mohave County Bar Association will carefully examine nominated candidates and determine if a suitable candidate for the award exists. Applicants for the award will be considered annually, but if no suitably impressive candidate exists in a particular year the Board may choose not to give the award.
Specific criteria that the Board will look for include:
- Demonstrated commitment to improving the practice of law in Mohave County.
- Exceptional moral character and commitment to ethical practice of law.
- Innovation in legal technique or understanding.
- Consistent dedication to excellence in all areas of legal practice.

The Community Service Award
The Community Service Award is
given by the Board of Directors of the Mohave County Bar Association to an
attorney in Mohave County who has shown incredible drive and dedication to
improving the community of Mohave County through impressive levels of charity,
assistance to those in need, and use of the law to uphold the rights of those
who are historically disadvantaged.
Specific criteria that the Board
will look for include.
- Charitable
acts that use the law the help those who cannot effectively help
themselves.
- Actions
that have led to significant improvement in the lives of the
disadvantaged.
- Organization
of efforts to lend aid to the indigent.
- Actions
that have extended rights and protections to those who have historically
not been given their full rights.
- Social
work and volunteer activities that improve the quality of life in Mohave County.
- Devotion to giving
uncompensated public and private service to those in need.
- Generosity in contributing
to noble causes.
- Display
of exceptional moral character.
